A dedication to a Dominican Sister in Heaven

 This week is the anniversary of the passing of a Dear Friend an Sister in Christ...thought to share with u. Sister Mary Mannis...rest in peace an plz pray 4 us!  I miss you so much!  

What an example...to give one's entire life to God...to leave everything this world has to offer to pray for everyone else including you and me. That is the whole story about my dear friend...'sister'...'mother'...'aunt'..she was all these things and more. Her simplicity and innocense was refreshing and her desire constantly to pray better...do better was convicting. This is the moment she waited for...she hungered for the day to see Our Lord Face to face and she was willing to suffer whatever He willed. May Sister Mary Mannis now in her Heavenly State, be our constant intercessor before the throne of God. It has been an honor to know her and i am comforted in the fact that she will be with Our Lord working on our behalf. I look forward to the day of our reunion in Heaven God Willing. May we all imitate her and take seriously our walk with God never letting anything get in the way of a life fully dedicated to His Service. Praised be Jesus Christ now and forever!

 Eyes off the world....only fix them on Jesus. Wen Jesus walked on the water during the storm toward the disciples in the boat, Peter asked to b able to walk on the water to Jesus. Wen Peter got out of the boat he walked on top of the water too with his eyes fixed on Jesus...but as soon as he looked at the storm he feared..weakened an sunk. Keep ur eyes on Jesus an u will not fear...weaken...or struggle.  Courage an strength come Only from Him!!!  U CAN DO ALL THINGS THRU CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS U!!!  ALL THINGS!  U R A SOLDIER...MORE THAN A CONQUERER IN CHRIST JESUS!!!  u need to b in touch with those walkin this type of walk....most will never understand it. Catholics afraid to receive Holy Communion

Reminder for Catholics afraid of receiving Holy Communion. B easy with urself...by all means pay attention to the practices in hygiene that r being implemented by sacristans an priests saying ur Masses .Dont hesitate to speak to them with ideas on how to improve the safety practices. Try another Catholic church if urs does not have a gd prodical. Listen deeply to wat will work for u...b gentle with urself an others an if u cannot go to church watch Mass on Tv or the web an ask Jesus to give u Holy Communion Supernaturally...He is not limited in time an space as we r. As u begin to venture out start with daily Mass during the week with only a few people attending. Wear ur mask...have sanitizer...wear gloves if u want...sit where u can feel safe an dont b afraid to move if others do not respect distancing ...an if anyone is not wearing a mask remind them the requirements, mayb give them an extra mask u have an even remind others who arent covering their mouth an nose that covering both is the proper way to wear a mask. It may take a few visits til u warm up to this new experience again. B patient with urself.

Do remember...the mask is not Wat is protecting u although we wisely use them...God is protecting u...an This Bread is not ordinary bread...It is JESUS!😉...wen u r ready...get on the Communion line...use sanitizer...stay 6 ft from next person ...keep ur mask on...receive in the hand....step aside...lift ur mask a tiny bit with 1 hand an put Jesus in ur mouth with the other an then pull mask down again.

There is a designated hour for all of us to go to God..do not be afraid!!!  Live this moment...this day...with God we can do all things!

Cargivers an grief

Those of us who are primary caregivers of our parents (an other family members) will experience their loss most differently than everyone else around us. In one respect we saw the little deaths everyday as they aged that many did not know about. But those who take care of their parents from a Love only Christ can give, will grieve differently. To those who love much, give up their life and sacrifice for their parents will grieve much as well. Grief is hard and it takes a tremendous amount of patiences, self care, love, healthy boundaries, an of course prayer to get through. Grief groups do not accept people until at least three months after the death of the loved one because only at 3 months does one actually realize what's going on. 6 months was hard for me... it was at 8 months that things started to shift. Little by little each day improves....tears come from a memory ..a laugh ...as you go through things ..papers.. relive some of the moments with pictures ...it can be difficult. I was true to my grief. I told everyone close to me I needed a year to start... this year I would allow myself to walk through grief. Not to deny or make believe it wasn't there or just focus on the Joys of Heaven, which are real, but to walk through grief well. An after the first yr i would decide how i needed to grieve after that. People often try to force us to walk their way or rush us out of grief or tell us how to grieve... but grief is personal and there was something to the old funerals, especially in Italy where my family comes from, where people would wail at the funeral.. they would allow themselves to have their grief. There's much to learn from the old timers....

Wen i lost Dad 6 yrs before Mom i had no time to really grieve because i had to kick in to help Mom stay strong an continue to care for my disabled son. Wen Mom passed i realized i was grieving both parents since i kind of missed the first...so b aware of this if u have lost both parents.

U will start to unwind like a rung wet towel unwinding. Takes time to actually get used to not being always "on"...u will hurt where u never hurt before physically...an the emotional an mind need alot of self care an rest. After the funeral..u will grieve....wen we love that much...the grief will come.   Courage...
Courage !!!

As foreign as it is, enjoy the relief from all the duties an responsibilities u carried. Breath!  Rest!  An no one can console u or understand except another caregiver whose heart is just like urs😄  Dont expect ur kind of understanding an compassion from one who is not made up like u.

Compassion, detachment, an acceptance

Let us meditate on acceptance an appropriate detachment from people, things, an life's situations.  There is a balance ... Between separating...an loving...between caring so much it hurts us an we take much more than we should.  Accepting wat is...detaching from wat is not our responsibility while loving deeply.

The sad thing is that our families of origin did not teach us to Love Like Jesus Loved.. like Jesus Loves.. like Jesus wants us to Love ...and so life is a journey to learn what it is to really Love someone ..and that entails growing patience, self-control, kindness, gentleness , the ability to listen, the ability to offer time....all The Gifts of The Holy Spirit...an from These come The Fruits of The Holy Spirit.  Sometimes we take on too many people to help and can't really be a help to any of them.  Sometimes it's better to take one person and really be able to invest peacefully.. totally.. a time and dedication to them... one soul ,one person at a time while still not being more invested than they r . That's what I learned through caring for my parents and my son.. it's not the hundreds that I have given retreats for...  the thousands I've sung before worshipping God ... it's one-on-one.. one soul.. one person at a time. The way God Looks on us...Cares an Loves us is The Way we aspire to do for others...balancing compassion, detachment an acceptance.

My mother, who lived to 95, had a favorite saying," That's why the old lady never wanted to die, she learned something new everyday."And then she would say to me, "Angie, did you learn something new today?" Wen we try to learn something new daily in our walk with God a (an other topics) we are by all means helping ourselves... an wen we share it we also help others ( an ourselves) to grow into the "best version of ourselves" an to maintain good memory and avoid dementia and Alzheimer's....so learn...listen...grow.. it is gd medicine. Lesson on how to teach an share an serve

Many beautiful things can b shared spiritually in person or by video. Remember too much information in one shot can overwhelm some. Sometimes breaking a large content into three different videos or 3 visits makes it easier for some to follow. Certain people may feel overwhelmed and walk away. It takes yrs to grow ourselves an cooperate with Grace...an even then we still r ill equiped to tell others to love wen we  ourselves have not mastered it yet.  Our conversion..
growth...evolving takes discipline...deep commitment...an sitting at The Feet of Our Master. We must not b too zealous to tell everyone else wat they need to do on an intellectual level wen we ourselves don't really know God fully or have any real deep relationship with Him yet. That may b us an those we r commissioning. We need to make sure we call them to the first step....that is the order...an to remember our audience may b highly intelligent or very simple...balancing the 2. ..some info for the mind an other with lots of heart...so no one feels lost. This allows both groups to learn things in their particular areas of weakness...
We must remember the only thing is the fact that it is impossible to love unless we spend time with the Lover...God!  We cannot learn to be love in this world to others unless we spend time in prayer on our knees and in the silence of our inner chamber One on one with God. I think we are so quick to push people out to love and to reach out ,when in fact we need to experience the love of God ourselves first and that only comes through One-on-one time with HIM alone. Sometimes less is more and it is quality over quantity.  Many have thought my life a failure  because I did not become famous  and pursue  what the world would esteem ...a  Hollywood career .  As I have walked with God I have learned many many things .  Success  is not limited to the numbers  and doing grandiose things.  It also is one on one  ...one soul at a time...  one human being at a time .  Never compromise  the great things in God's plan  for the little things that the world says are more important .  Who knows, we mite just miss the most important lessons an training if we minimize the 'smaller' things an 'smaller' people.  We can talk slowly an not b afraid of pauses...it allows people of different abilities time to absorb an to try to better understand...it also allows The Holy Spirit to have His Way with those listening..to b Part of the Teaching rather than only b The Topic. His Power Alone is wat will make our teachings a success or not!   An we must always insure we have a tribe to pray fast an give alms for us an our mission to stay God's Course...not our own. We pick a day...an have this inner circle of deeply holy people join together weekly on our  behalf...

i am praying in a very specific way for all of us. Mary, the Mother of Jesus is very dear to me. i have placed us all under her mantle. Mental illness is real an may need medication

Someone asked me 4 urgent prayer for his godson...who was very depressed and started drinking again and had mentioned wanting to end his life. Of course i prayed for him but i also reminded his godfather that

he needs a psychiatrist...to call an emergency rm to

get him to a hospital or doctor asap..

A person like this may need medication...they often drink to relieve their pain....mental illness is real...an it is important that we remember this with anyone suffering from depression, alcoholism, drug use, anxiety, panic, rages etc. As believers too often we think only prayer is needed especially with mental issues because they r foreign to us. Plz remember that mental illness, like every other illness, needs medical attention along with love an prayers. 

Plz stop protests..covid is real!!

Hope an pray u r well.  At these protests people have  exposed themselves to a possible serious resurgence of this virus. We need to always think of others as well as ourselves....of our families....
neighborhoods..people we work with...the population at large all possibly getting sick or the medical teams' safety that may need to care for them or us one day.  The voice of reason is lost wen this real pandemic has been forgotten.
It goes without question that anyone who hurts another intentionally must b held accountable an George's death was absolutely wrong...but i believe the pandemic overrides rallies that can endanger the public at large an bring on many more deaths. We r at 114,000 dead in the USA... 400,000 worldwide...not from other illnesses an diseases or age or accidents, but only from covid.  Those r the numbers we r aware of, an only wat people have reported...the real death toll from covid 19 exceeds that!!  There r safer ways to fight this cause at this time...run for office...write letters...arrange to meet all ur political leaders...speak before congress an senate an governors, mayors, state senators an assembly leaders...attack the wrong in every tangible way including prayer, fasting an almsgiving...an save the protests for a time wen the potential to kill many many more is gone.

Continue to do everything to protect urself an everyone else from Covid19...it is the charitable thing to do an the priority at this time. Then all causes follow only after insuring this.

"The Blessing" The Parental Blessing from God!

This song is called, "The Blessing". It is one of the most powerful, Scriptural based prayers in song I've ever experienced. Just want to caution u....remain strict with urself an ur families an those  u surround urself with. They r openin beaches Memorial Day with restrictions....no masks required...bathrms an showers open... Plz encourage ur family to stay away. In these early days of opening we need to remain diligent in protecting ourselves an our families. Since yesterday there r 1216 new cases in NJ an 244 deaths. May 17,2020. People must enter with masks an stay the distance....families who live together may sit together...call ur church an find out the days an hours it will b open....
confessions will also b available. Each church must implement the prodical for safey. Make sure they will have people insuring rules r followed. Only go if u r comfortable with how they do it. If not call ur Pastor an make suggestions for the greatest protection. No Masses public for now. Daily Mass will start in a few weeks with stage 2.

He is preparing to return to the fullness of his relationship with the Father, and a joy and satisfaction pervade his doing what he has been sent to do. Healthy boundaries with bullies/dictators in our lives

Here's a way to reply kindly yet adult to adult wen someone in ur life is pushing their agenda .

'Ty for sharing this with me.  i want to share a few things with u so u can better understand me.  i have been 'working' on myself my entire adult life thru my deep spiritual relationship with God, thru retreats an hermitage, thru my spiritual directors etc. i have learned to listen an discern God in my life an wat i need to do an wen. i want u to understand that my faith walk...Jesus Christ, my practice of my religion...the Sacraments...r first in my life. Other things can b tools an a place of growing an learning, but it is not my lifeline...God is. An walkin with God for me is incredibly individual...in life wat is the rt decision for one is not necessarily rt for another.  i need to listen an do wat God is leading me to. i so appreciate ur heart an who u r an all ur help.  i ask that u respect my discernment an God workin in my life even if it is not wat u think is best for me... an i want to do the same for u.'

We learn over time how to stand up against those who continue to try an control us...bully us...an shame us into doin the things they want us to do an say .  It takes time an practice to remind others that we r adults..that they dont know wat is best for us...That the only advice one has that means anything is "turn to God in prayer...He knows wat is best an He will guide u to the answer!"

Let us grow an answer these people in kindness an respect as we develop healthy boundaries for ourselves. Getting other people's approval or making everyone
happy needs to b removed from the equation. The Only Approval we need us God's!

I love snow!

I luv snow. When I was young we had a foot or two every two or three weeks. We had so much fun in it sleighing and ❄ 👼 ...⛄ playing.. Making forts an snow angels..cleaning up in front of the house ...

cleaning the car off and I just remember the walks with the big snowflakes coming down ..I still love that today when we have it, but we have had a very mild winter so to see the snow for me was a joy. It brings back great memories... nothing finer than walking to Daily Mass at 6 a.m. when it's snowing flakes the size if silver dollars and no one is on the road neither walking or in cars.. the quiet Stillness is absolutely out of this world.

Prayer an Fasting; IT IS TIME!!

i pray God bless u an that u an ur families r well. i am writing this at 3 am after bein called to read a tiny book HOW TO FAST SUCCESSFULLY.  i originally found this in a church many years ago an refound it yesterday in a pile of paperwork in my home. It speaks of individual prayer, fasting and the need for these to b also done collectively in a group. i would like for us to find 2 other God Chasers an join together under the concept of Mt 18:19-20

"19 Again I say to you, that if two of you shall consent upon earth, concerning anything whatsoever they shall ask, it shall be done to them by My Father Who is in Heaven. 20 For where there are two or three gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them."
and Eccles4:9-10,12
"[9] It is better therefore that two should be together, than one: for they have the advantage of their society: [10] If one fall he shall be supported by the other: woe to him that is alone, for when he falleth, he hath none to lift him up.12 And if a man prevail against one, two shall withstand him: A THREEFOLD CORD IS NOT EASILY BROKEN."

There are very few people in the world that have the Faith to want to do something like this an then to find one who is willing to join others in a like pursuit. We have connected on the prayer and fasting for a long time but i believe we need to reignite the Fire in our practice of it an do it formally with a 'tribe' of our own. . i would like to suggest that we pray and fast for the healing (mind, body, soul,spirit, emotions,depression, stress, memories etc), salvation (coming to know Jesus Christ as Savior an truly loving Him) an conversion (come to the fullness of Faith an become the saint we were created to
 b ) for ourselves, our spouses an our children. The enemy wants to break up families an try to destroy us an our children and bring us to points of despair an exhaustion including health issues that can interfere with our Ministries an serving God. It is time for God's people to rise again an return to our 'OLD TIME RELIGION'.  To this list u may add watever u an ur tribe wants.

Pick a day that works for ur tribe.  Wed an Fri have been days of fasting an prayer since the early church.

Full Moon affects everyone

I am not a superstitious woman but the affects of full moon on people go without question. I learned this first hand wen my son developed seizures. His pediatric neurologist, an orthodox Jewish man, told me
"I am not a superstitious man, but when there is a full moon i am busiest because people with seizures often have  severe neurological manifestations...seizures...
complications during full moon.  Many years later another neuro specialist, this time a devote Roman Catholic, told me the same thing emphasizing emergency rooms r filled to overflowing with patients an his phone doesnt stop ringing during full moon.

As i started to c clearly the affects on my son, as a caregiver for both my parents an one who helps many people on a daily basis, i started to c that full moon not only affected those with seizures, but affected  everyone to some degree physically, emotionally, in behavior an moods, etc.

Today, May 7, 2020, is full moon. Today b alert to watch for the impact on those around u an urself an try to b more compassionate an patient with each other encouraging one another to eat better...exercise some an rest wen needed.  An let us b quick to apologize if our own temper flairs or we become impatient with others around us. One can experience symptoms a wk before...to a week after.  Even if u dont have symptoms it still affects u.

This concept again gives us gd excuse to practice patience, love, compassion, kindness...the list of marvelous virtues we want to develop in order to become more an more like Jesus Christ.

One day wen there was a full moon,  I was taking a walk by the river as usual.   I noticed that the water was all the way down .  One could have actually walked out into the river  because the tide was out at sea .  About 8 or 10 hours later I took another walk by that same river in the same place and at that point the river was high enough to come up on the walkway where people were gathered. I had never seen the water that low or that high before.  It was then that my eyes were allowed to see the impact the full moon has on tides. Full moon...it affects the tides in the oceans...an if it affects the water an tides we can c...it surely can affect the tides of water in our bodies an minds...this just makes sense!

Up to 60% of the human adult body is water. According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water.

Take time to research more about how much water affects our minds an bodies an therefore our health..emotions an moods...drink.....drink drink more water😉

" Press in!!!  When it gets lonely...when you can't see the Son behind the clouds... Press in!!!  Only a God chasing saint will make it in this world. Do not settle in and get used to the distance. Do not accept the gap between you and He... Press in!!!...run after...grab on..  plead...beg...cry... pray...yell....scream louder....even be still and listen!!   Press in until God, in His Great Mercy Smiles and Let's a Beam of Sonlight come through. Always remember Jacob with a broken hip.   He cleaved and hung on to God without relent until he received His Blessing. So for a God Chaser, giving up...weakening is NEVER an option!! It is time we put into practice all that we have been taught!! Get to work child of God!! ...Strengthen your weary knees... get into the Word... own His Promises...press on.. and the Lord of all will hold your arms up for you as they did for Moses. You CAN stand!!!  You CAN do it!!! You are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus!!! You CAN do ALL things...ALL things through Christ... The Lord of the mountains...The One Whose Command Moves the seas...the planets.. every living creature, all things. You CAN do ALL things through Christ Who strengthens you!!!!!

Go ahead now little one... go ahead....do not be afraid any longer!!!!"

I was sharing with a friend ...we discussed fear....here r some of the points we covered.

"Feel the fear an do it anyway!" This is a great phrase to help us overcome fear.
 
Another friend told him many yrs ago, "The opposite of fear is faith". 

"Fear is useless wat is needed is Trust" ... Jesus spoke that to St Faustina in The Divine Mercy Revelations. Trust in God....therefore if our connection to God is real we can actually start to trust ourselves because of our connection to The Divine.  There is a movie online by Bishop Barron who is one of the greatest Catholic Evangelists of our time. He made a movie about St Catherine of Sienna. I luv it because St Catherine was  illiterate and did not have an education. Yet she was a great Mystic and declared Doctor of the Church. The movie brings forward a mystic's walk with God which develops the self-esteem.. builds a person up ...is so precious an  innocent yet with great convictions.  I find it greatly inspiring. But the connection here is he brings the movie to a place to talk about our own divination.. not that we become gods.. perfect ,but there's a process of us becoming more like the Divine and it is powerful an uplifting to hear . Self esteem is a very difficult thing to work on. There is a fine line from knowing our value an the sin of pride.  True self esteem knows we r "made in the Image an Likeness of God".   It knows we deserve, as every human being, respect an love. The Spark of God is in every one of us an therefore everyone deserves our kindness an respect. There comes a time wen we learn our value an it becomes less an less necessary to demand it from others or even correct them. Humility plays a sacred role as we build a healthy holy self esteem in God .  We can let another win in a battle even though we may actually be rt for love an mercy's sake .Wen we start to b able to do this, we no we r starting to walk a little more with The Divine rather than humans.  It is vitally important for us to cleave to God so that all our attempts to grow insure we r getting the proper Sonlight, Water an Nutrients to insure a great outcome an therefore a great harvest. Let's let God lead us in our healing an self esteem work an we will surely surpass the world's view of wat a healthy self esteem is an reach heights we never thought possible.  An let us forgive everyone in family...friends..teachers...all those who influenced us negatively by bullying us or telling us we weren't gd enough all our lives... because in practicing this higher principle of forgiveness we obey God an the fruit of obedience is beyond anything we can imagine. Let us as Christians start to use our time wisely. It is time for hours in prayer, it is time to simplify our homes and clean drawers closets and drop off things to the poor.. everything we won't and cannot use. It is time to call people and have phone conferences to pray and encourage others. It is time to shut the television unless it is beautiful, uplifting ,God focused. He is gd. I am tired an a little under the weather but now i can focus on me a bit. The adjustment.... the long needed discussions of the reality that both he an i thought he was going to die alone in a hosp during this pandemic....it is surreal...
overwhelming...mind bogaling....all in a gd way.  Ptsd....but we have tears an joy that will take gd care of us!  LOVE WINS ...LOVE WINS EVERY TIME ...OH MY...TY GOD!!😂
We r psychologically drained ...we ate we talked...he layed down ....so i took a nap.. any time he sleeps i must rest cause i need to rest. 

This is important for all of us calling people too much an wanting details of their experiences with covid19.  We r Not up for texting or calls...we find it interesting how many who never really reached for us in normal life now come forward ..we need the quiet loving silent prayerful support that requires no effort from us...so plz do not call or text rt now unless u can send  a hug with NO expectation of reply.  Too many on a plight to talk things out with us about all this....i no everyone means well. everyone has too much time on their hands now but everyone must just b our prayer shield for both of us now praying for us to b healed an well...an for us to continue to have Gods protection. We r both extremely joyful in this miracle an very heavy hearted in wat we have an r walking thru.  Consider this as u support people around u. Ty.

My son is home from the hospital. Blessed Easter!!

This day I declare that Our God is Alive ..I declare that God protects His Own.. I declare that the prayers of the righteous availeth much..so to everyone who has uttered a prayer for us.. u r now part of Joes Miracle 2020... I just received the call that is flat-out miraculous after being told that my son was serious last night one step away from critical. I just got a call... Joseph does not need oxygen... he is walking around holding 94-95 oxygen saturation on his own...I will have the privilege shortly to pick him up and bring him home. After being told he would have a Long Hospital stay, Our God had a different prognosis. God bless everyone who took care of him and I ask you to continue to pray for him and me as we finish his recovery at home. Praise be to God.. kisses and gratitude to Our Lady of Guadalupe who never forgot our annointed redition of her song" I'm Your Mother "which we gave to her. I am at a loss for words...nothing...absolutely nothing could express my joy...Easter has come early this year!

I am grieving this yr. It is the first yr i will not b doin Church Music for Holy Week in 50 yrs.  Many of us cannot attend Mass or receive Blessed Palms to open our Holiest Week of the yr. God surely is not limited by our natural world. Wat a simple way to help people locked down in their homes...look thru ur photo  albums an send a few pics by text that can make people smile!  Try it...u feel great wen u no they enjoyed them! An u get to enjoy some great older memories again .

We need to shut the news an bake cookies...listen to gd inspirational music...pray...watch uplifting tv an computer material..think of ways to reach out to others to help them smile during these hard days...make some calls, write some letters...we need to get creative to stay balanced an peaceful for ourselves an all those in our inner circle of family an friends.  Ministry always starts in ur inner circle .We may reach millions, but if we neglect our responsibilities to our parents, spouses, children, siblings neighbors, friends etc. ,which is our primary calling in life, we have failed!

We must pray an b present to others for support!  If someone is hungry, do u say God bless u an yet not offer them something to eat?  People r hurting...let us ask God for creative ideas on how we can support others...an as we support others, God Himself will carry us!!😉  we wont have time to waste on world news' details...complaining...
obsessing...being unproductive. Lets try to use this time well...interior growth...relationship with God...improving virtues an character in our families..simplifying our dwellings to share our gds with others...emptying our storage units that r not needed...an then outreach to others. Even just texting a positive message .

By the grace of God i have had many beautiful people call on me to ck on us to offer to pay a bill, shop for me, go shopping together an cover the cost ...offered money...to help me an my disabled son during this crisis... one of whom was a holy priest of God, another my sister, another distant cousin, a dear old friend who i grew up with from church choir an a local neighbor/ friend.  Imagine...all of these people offering to care for us like the early church did one another . Our God lives an He will continue to care for His Own!

Wake up call to humanity amid covid19

How easy it is for us to have the right talk of faith. But this is the time for us ,each one, to really put into action what we often say. How easy to pray when we have services at our places of worship and when we leave the ediface, application is often forgotten as the week goes on. Too often in our times God has been ignored, made fun of, people who follow him are considered Fanatics or extreme and told to change.  God is loving and merciful and I have always shared that in my blogs. But we must remember that God will not be made a fool of. He is not some little guy on the side that we can call in and demand things from or give a list to like Santa Claus. He looks for those whose hearts are stayed on him. There's only one way to make a relationship with Him an that is to spend time with, to speak to, to pray to, and then to listen. It is time, while we are all shut down in our homes, to stop, pray and listen. It is a time for all of us to re-evaluate our lives and see where we went wrong walking away from our God both individually ,in our neighborhoods and communities ,in our country and as a human race. As we make all these promises to God let us remember that these promises are to be kept after covid-19 passes. It is no longer an option.   We are one nation under God and we need to start obeying the Ten Commandments and the two Commandments of Love: love God with all your mind, with all your heart , with all  your soul ,with all your strength ..and love your neighbor as yourself. We are very fortunate to have television, computers and phones. Let us use them now, not to waste time in greed in purchasing worldly things.  Let us use them to grow in our faith, to pray and to learn more about God. For us Catholics EWTN on television is on 24/7 with great Catholic networking ,educational shows, ways to grow up our faith. For other denominations there are many other channels also available. On YouTube one can look up all types of videos on faith, God ,prayer , uplifting music, hope, Scriptures , Saints, the list is endless . Scripture says to pray without ceasing and we have been granted an opportunity to slow down and see how we can apply this to our lives. For those of you with children in your home, rather than be annoyed, see this as an opportunity to draw your family closer to you and to God with you. It is a time to re-establish the family unit ; husband, wife and children and 2 impact our children's lives so that they actually might reflect more their parents rather then their child care provider, then their  School teachers. Although it's difficult, it's a wonderful opportunity for us to see where our children are at ..their thinking patterns, their belief system and help guide them to the Light. Sadly sometimes it takes extreme situations to actually be reminded of what matters in life. God matters, people matter,  everything else runs second to these. May The God of the Universe, our Higher Power come and reveal Himself to us in ways we never thought possible. May we fall on our knees, cry for our sins, repent, learn more about him and develop an intimate loving relationship with the ONE who knit us together.  May He heal and protect all the living, especially all those on the front lines caring for the sick..bless all those in leadership to know what to do  ..for those who have died that they may be embraced in the Merciful Arms of God and for all of humanity to look deep in our souls to find God ,to repent of the sins that we have been doing and mistakes that we have been making, repent of them and change and go forward with a new loving intimate relationship with the True living God and may we show that in our obedience to Him. To God Alone be all honor and glory and Power forever!! in Jesus Name i pray! amen. Caution: Wen we want to serve in every ministry...

Pray to God what ministries He wants from you. It is not good to be in many groups and not a master at any of them. Pray where God wants you and do what He says. Sometimes we Christians Catholics believe that the more things we participate in the more God is pleased and that is often not the case. Especially if we cannot give 100% to where we are both at home first then at work and then in the various ministries.

We have to keep our eye on whether our involvement in many activities is a bit obsessive compulsive. We have to see whether we think we have to earn heaven and maybe we think more is better.  we should discern what does God want us to do and often He prefers us to stay home and love on our family then to be running around wearing ourselves out thinking that our salvation is something we have to do rather than a gift that God already did for us. I will pray for you in this regard. As we mature I have found people require more silence.. less activites.. a desire for intimate Union with Christ rather than the social aspects of groups and doing doing doing. Please don't do what i tell you ....take this information i have given and go to God and pray and you will know where he wants you to be. Praised b Jesus Christ now am forever!

Today is Friday and it has been a long time practice from the early church fathers and mothers that Christians fasted on Fridays. The Scriptures say the three-fold cord to win over the Heart of God and please Him is prayer ..fasting and almsgiving. Too often we make a goal too hard to achieve with fasting. Fasting can be pushing away one cookie or driving in the car without the radio on or not watching your favorite TV show. We start small and then build upon it. This helps us become more mindful of God throughout the day. Let's try today 2 fast in one simple way and offer it in Thanksgiving to Jesus for all that He suffered... taking our place on the Cross on Good Friday. The Gospel for today was from Luke chapter 5: 33 to 39 .  One Line from that says.. "but the days will come when the Bridegroom is taken away from them then they will fast in those days."  Try to read the entire Passage wen u can.   And in this practice of fasting we aim to become new wineskins able to receive the New Wine that God wants to pour into us and into our lives. First Friday...SACRED HEART OF JESUS

Our Lord Jesus appeared to St Mary Margaret an gave great promises to those who hold dear this devotion to His Mist Sacred Heart.  Here is the list of promises Jesus gave.  Look up this devotion....i learned it from my Mom....her favorite prayer an now mine

Promises For Devotion to the Sacred Heart

I will give them all of the graces necessary for their state of life.

I will establish peace in their houses.

I will comfort them in all their afflictions.

I will be their strength during life and above all during death.

I will bestow a large blessing upon all their undertakings.

Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy.

Tepid souls shall grow fervent.

Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.

I will bless every place where a picture of my heart shall be set up and honored.

I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.

Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted out.

I promise you in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who shall receive communion on the First Friday in nine consecutive months the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving their sacraments; My Divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.
