To caregivers an their families

After asking for prayer support in my care giving of my 94 yr old Mother ,a friend replied to my plea as i explained that it is not so much the physical exhaustion but the mental an emotional as one learns to exercise an develop muscles in patience, compassion an self control that i received this most beautiful reply:

"Angie, when I cared for my Mom, and later Dad, at the end of their lives I had the same exhaustion you described. I determined that each of them were my priority in their need. I was guided by the thought that I would never regret the blessed moments I had with each of them and I have been overly rewarded as result. Be well always."

These words r for all who take on the exhausting an lonely task of caring for elderly parents....or any sick an disabled family member...be encouraged...we r doing God's work an putting His Words, so easily spoken by most, into action. To Him Alone be all Glory an Honor an Power forever!  May He complete the good work He has begun in us for it is only by His Grace that we do wat we do.

Til next time...find a caregiver in ur circle an bless them first with ur deep prayer support an second in some beautiful tangible action of Love an support.  Remember, if u r related to them, that they have no obligation to do wat they do. They just stepped up to the plate wen no one else would so b kind an gracious to them.  (A card...soup...take over an give them some time off...flowers...a gift...invite them out for coffee or a meal...shop for them...help with household chores, give them a certificate for a massage....a letter...have a mass said for them...be creative...an it does not have to cost much of. anything) angie
