Catholic Mystic beginners booklist

I really think that we should start to read more of the mystics.

There is a book 1. Armchair Mystic by Mark Thibodeaux and it is a book about easing into contemplative prayer...
2.  Abandonment to Divine Providence by Jean Pierre de Caussade...
3.  An old book is called Spiritual Diary ... selected sayings and examples of saints ..it was put out by Saint Paul Editions.. I hope you can find it
4.   A Desert in the Ocean by David Adam ..it is the spiritual journey according to Saint Brendan the Navigator.

These books are not ordinary I only recommend them to those who hunger for more of God. In order for us to go deeper we need to read from the lives of those who went deep before us... the mystics... the martyrs ...the saints that walked before us. There's lots of wisdom and years of experience in these types of books.
