FIRST COMMUNION AN CONFIRMATION FOR ALL THOSE CONVERTS AN PEOPLE ENTERING OUR CHURCH...

Holy Thurs, Gd Fri an Easter Vigil

 These past Days... Holy Thursday ..Good Friday and the Easter Vigil are missed by most Catholics and they are the central most glorious of all our Mass Celebrations. We go to receive Jesus Christ The King of the Universe and participate in this Vigil celebration of His Resurrection.....  when you experience Holy Thursday... Good Friday and the Vigil for the first time at a Catholic Church you will never miss it again in your life because it is life changing...

Hopefully we were able to go to these this yr...if not lets promise ourselves next yr we will attend all of Holy Week!

 Lets always try loving an respecting each other.  Familia...real familia is about...THE LOVE TABLE....it is a flavor ....it is precious an it is hard to find today . ...just sitting around a simple table an relaxing together knowing u r loved an treasured as is...just the way u r...that is the greatest holiday celebration !!!

Let us b sensitive to inviting an sharing time this Easter especially with those who do not have anyone, r alone, r misunderstood or r different.  Scriptures remind us wat good is it to invite the rich or famous...those who can repay u?...invite the poor ...the ones who r harder to luv.  Lets make sure no one ever feels unloved...

unwanted ...
on our watch. ..."misfits", as the world calls them, usually have great lessons to teach us...like mayb we all r misfits...or mayb we r the misfits an they r whole .Either way we get to give hospitality every time we do unto others to Jesus Himself,...especially in the more difficult situations. Lets be courageous...lets invite someone new an different to our tables this week....God promises a lesson we will never forget!!!  An He surely knows we have lots to learn.

No Greater Love...

"NO GREATER LOVE HATH ANY MAN THAN TO LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS"....this is the Price Jesus Paid for us to 1 day enter The Gates of Heaven. May we allocate these next few days before celebrating His Victory over death an His Great Miraculous Resurrection to meditating on how much He Suffered for us...for u..for me!!!...an therefore well up great gratitude for So Great a God ..for So Great A Love never before experienced by us an never to b experienced from another again..not like this.  WE R LOVED...
HEAVEN CAN B OURS...WE CAN MAKE BIG DIFFERENCES IN OUR OWN LIVES AN THE LIVES OF EVERY ONE AROUND US IF WE RUN AFTER...SEEK OUT...DEVOTE OURSELVES TO OUR SWEET GOD TURNING OUR LIVES OVER TO HIM!!!  THIS WEEK IS CALLED HOLY WEEK FOR A REASON....LETS TREAT IT AS SUCH. B assured of my sincerest prayers 4 u an all those u luv an care for.  Mayb we can watch our favorite movie on The Life Death an Resurrection of Jesus....it can help us enter deeply into prayer with Him....angie

Sin...confession...contrition...Holy Week begins

We all desperately need the Mercy of God everyday.. every minute. Sometimes we fall hard ...God allows the fall an then tries to get our attention to make us realize that we better watch ourselves that maybe we're becoming prideful and we think maybe we don't need God. Confess...lets begin with a good confession this Holy Week...tell him we r sorry...cry an wail....look at a Crucifix an b reminded u an i put Him there...watch Passion of The Christ Movie an own our own contributions to His Death an Sufferings.  Then beg for help to do some more prayer ..fasting an almsgiving to thank Him an beg again for help to sincerely amend our lives...

I luv this act of contrition prayer i found online;

"Forgive me my sins, O Lord,
forgive me my sins;
the sins of my youth,
the sins of my age,
the sins of my soul,
the sins of my body;
my idle sins,
my serious voluntary sins;
the sins I know,

Catholic Mystic beginners booklist

I really think that we should start to read more of the mystics.

There is a book 1. Armchair Mystic by Mark Thibodeaux and it is a book about easing into contemplative prayer...
2.  Abandonment to Divine Providence by Jean Pierre de Caussade...
3.  An old book is called Spiritual Diary ... selected sayings and examples of saints ..it was put out by Saint Paul Editions.. I hope you can find it
4.   A Desert in the Ocean by David Adam ..it is the spiritual journey according to Saint Brendan the Navigator.

These books are not ordinary I only recommend them to those who hunger for more of God. In order for us to go deeper we need to read from the lives of those who went deep before us... the mystics... the martyrs ...the saints that walked before us. There's lots of wisdom and years of experience in these types of books.
